I first became associated with the school as a parent in the Santa Rosa Cooperative Playschool. Both of my children are alumni of the Preschool. The supportive atmosphere of respect and encouragement attracted me. At that time I was studying counseling and parent education. I received advanced training in Positive Discipline through the Family Education Centers. I was encouraged to go into teaching. I earned my teaching credential through Sonoma State University. I am now a trainer of International Baccalaureate, Positive Discipline, and First Steps, our Language Arts resource. I have been with the Charter School since its inception and have taught preschool through intermediate grades along with adult education. I have stepped in for two different Charter School Directors in their absence. Now I have taken over the Directorship and can support our community's growth in our coming years.
