FILM POLICY

Films may be acceptable as supplement to curriculum or recreation under the following conditions:

ECC: Theater field trips or films shown during extended care are part of the after school, school break and summer programs, generally the films that are viewed are gated “G” in the event of a “PG” rating, the ECC staff will inform parents/guardians of the “PG” rating 24 hours in advance of the field trip.

Typically films that may be shown for educational purposes will have a rating of “G” however, if any film that may contain sensitive material is to be shown a permission slip will be sent to parents/guardians. 

** Any recreational film shown in the ECC classrooms will be listed on our yearly film list.

K-5: Films may be an occasional part of the education/recreation plan. Any film with a rating above “G” a notice will be sent to parent/guardians.

Typically films that may be shown for educational purposes will have a rating of “G” however, if any film that may contain sensitive material is to be shown a permission slip will be sent to parents/guardians.

**Each year no later than October 1, a list of films that may be shown throughout the year will be published and distributed to each family. These films will not have a rating above “PG-13”.

Parents/guardians are encouraged to inform their childs teacher or the school director if they are uncomfortable with any film on the list.
