End of Year Celebration Dining - HERE on Campus! - Monday, May 21!

End of Year Celebration Dining
Matchbox Diner and AWFUL FALAFEL will be offering scrumptious
dinner options (see reverse for menu) before and after the End of Year
Celebration on May 21st. The schedule is:
Dining (& pre-ordering): 4:45 to 5:30
Performances: 5:30 to 6:30
Dining: 6:30 till the last person is fed
We ask that you remain seated during the performances and not purchase
food during this time. You may eat prior to or after the performances. Both

Wednesday. May 16th 2012 is another Dine & Donate at Sweet River Grill & Bar! Last year was a huge success, and who doesn’t love a chance to let someone else do the cooking while earning money for our kids’ school?!

Hot lunch for January is up and running! Please check your family folders for Hot Lunch IOU's. Payment can be dropped in the black Hot Lunch box in the office. Thank you!

Book Fair Results

We had a great fall book fair.  Not only did we reach our goal of selling 300 books (Thanks for being such a good sport, LaDonna) but the school has received $2,000 in credit from Scholastic Books of which the teachers and librarian have already spent $500 shopping at the fair!  Thank you for all your help and see you at the Spring Fair.

Save the Date - SREC Craft Fair is Dec 3rd

Help us get the word out about our SREC Craft Fair and Pancake Breakfast!!
 
We are looking for crafters who would like to rent a table at the fair—the cost is $25 plus a donation of one craft item to our raffle. Last year we had about 15 different crafters selling all kinds of homemade craft items and we hope to have even more this year! Booth rental forms are downloadable from the school web site:

Please let your friends and family know about the fair and ask them to save the date

  • Saturday, December 3 at the First United Methodist Church on Montgomery in Santa Rosa
  • The craft fair will be open 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • and breakfast ($5 per person) will be available 8 a.m. – 11 a.m.
  • This is a great place to shop for holiday gifts—all local!!

Hot Lunch Update

Hello SREC Community,

Out of courtesy, I wanted to let everyone know that we will go back to the original LIttle Ceasar's pizza for Tuesday hot lunch.  We gave Mary's pizza a chance but could not financially sustain the shift in pizza vendors. Also, juice will no longer be served with lunch, water will be the only drink option.  I appreciate all the help and support during this chaotic trial period!
 
The Friday hot lunch will continue to alternate between burritos, pasta, and chinese.
While I would love to offer only local, organic options, we have limits regarding the preparations, cost effectiveness, and serving of the food.

eScrip Earnings Update

To date we have raised $1274.00 from receipts we collected during the eScrip redemption!  The redemption period has been extended to October 20th.  If people have receipts to turn in, just put them in the purple tube in the front office and we will get someone to enter them online.  I want to Thank ALL the folks who volunteered to collect receipts you did a fabulous Job!!  We will do this valuable fundraiser again in February.
